Forex Trading Platforms

One of the most important features in a Forex brokerage is the choice of trading platforms. Some brokers offer you several to choose from while others give you no choice at all.

Most Forex brokers offer at least one of the four most popular trading platforms.

The MetaTrader4, often referred to as MT4, is an electronic trading platform widely used by online Forex traders. It was developed by MetaQuotes Software and released in 2005. The MT4 software is licensed to foreign exchange brokers who provide the software to their clients. The software consists of both a client and server component. The server component is run by the broker and the client software is provided to the broker’s customers, which use it to see live streaming prices, charts and to place orders as well as manage their account.

Mirror Trader allows traders to follow and copy strategies that have been developed by professional traders around the globe. This feature helps traders perform over a wide range of market conditions and currency pairs. With Mirror Trader, traders can select strategies that match their personal trading preferences, such as risk tolerance and past profits. Once a strategy has been selected, all the signals generated by the strategy will be automatically applied to the client’s brokerage account. No intervention by the client is necessary since all the account activity is controlled by the platform.

The ZuluTrade platform bridges the gap between valuable information in money markets and trade execution by converting the advice of some of the most qualified and gifted traders from around the world to a service which can rapidly execute trades.  ZuluTrade provides traders with the ability to drive selected trades to the broker account of the interested party. ZuluTrade offers an open environment where traders can connect globally to any trading platform and share their knowledge.

The NinjaTrader platform was developed for active traders interested in the stock, futures and forex markets. There is no fee for using NinjaTrader’s standard features, which include market analytics, advanced charting, automated strategy development, backtesting , optimization, and trade simulation. Traders who wish to use NinjaTrader to execute live trades through a brokerage account may either purchase a lifetime license or lease the platform on a quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis.
